Thank you to all who financially supported, attended, and volunteered to make this event so much fun.
It doesn't stop with the Walk of Hope. With breast cancer affecting so many lives, Among the Flowers has made breast cancer awareness our company charity. In June, 2007 we made the first step in making this commitment by donating 10% of our sales to two organizations that reach out to those who are affected by this vicious disease. We were able to raise $15,700 that was divided equally between local Donna Hicken Foundation and the nationally recognized Vera Bradley Breast Foundation for Breast Cancer.
Again, during the month of June, 2008 we are pledging 10% of our sales to these two worthy causes.
Call us at (800) 514-6089 to place your orders.
Another way that you can help with this worthy cause, is to buy a bow for $25.00 and we will put it in our "Garden of Hope". Do it as a memorial for a loved one, yourself, or just as a donor. We will label your ribbon and you will be listed as a donor on our web site. All donations are divided equally between The Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer and The Donna Hicken Foundation.
Through an alliance with Indiana University, the Foundation has worked to secure the best breast cancer research team in the nation. The Indiana University Cancer Center now plays a leading role in advancements toward early detection and targeted therapies. Vera Bradley has pledge $10 million to support the research team’s efforts, of which they’ve already raised nearly $6 million.
Vera Bradley donates 10% of net proceeds from the sale of their breast cancer fabrics to the
Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer and other breast cancer programs and services each year.
